What this is and how to use it

What this is

Open Accountability is a public effort to keep COVID-era cases, records requests, and deadlines honest and usable. This tracker is the shared board. Each card on today’s checks names one concrete thing someone still has to look up.

What we are trying to do

How we know it is working

      How to use today’s checks

      • Pick a card. Read the question.
      • Open the linked source — a court docket, records portal, phone number, or hearing.
      • Send your note with what you found and when you looked. That is the main action.
      • Ready / Later / Skip mark whether you will do that step. Nothing posts or emails itself.
      • If the card is unclear, say what is confusing so the wording can be fixed for the next person.
      • The longer lists below are the standing board — update them when a hearing, call, or order changes the facts.

      Today’s checks

      Loading today’s cards…

Send your note after you open the source. That is the main action on each card.

Ready = you will do it. Later = not yet. Skip = wrong ask. Home · Open Care · Search the record

Board activity loads with the list…

      Earlier days

Open a past day to review those cards and your Ready / Later / Skip marks on this device.

      Link & PDF inbox

If someone pastes a docket link or uploads a PDF on a card, it waits here. Nothing joins the public record until it is accepted. Reject removes the upload.

Load the tray with your desk key to review.

      Upcoming deadlines

Items with a date on the calendar. Work these first. Success means the date does not pass without a logged call, letter, or saved court order.

      Overdue / status unclear

The listed date has passed, or we do not know if the other side complied. Check the source again. Mark Watching or Done and note which document you checked.

Open items (no fixed date yet)

Appeals, records requests, liability shields, standing asks, and long-running reforms. After deadlines are handled, pick High priority items that have a public source link.

Team actions (how we multiply one fact)

Tip rewards, whistleblower suits, investor research, buying pressure, insurance letters, election scorecards, and reform bills. Fill these when you have a solid source and want the same fact to move politics, money, press, and courts together.

Home: home. Marks on this page stay on your device unless you export. This page does not file tips with the Justice Department or post to social media for you.
